CITY SEEKS INPUT ON DOWNTOWN HOUSING
The city of South Bend's Department of Community & Economic Development is conducting a survey to better understand the downtown housing market. The brief survey will take less than five minutes to complete and will ask your opinion on several topics, including housing types, prices, and what makes a good urban neighborhood. Your input will help public officials and private developers to understand how they can most effectively act to improve the choices and quality of housing in and around downtown South Bend.

Tell Us About Your Job
As the individual responsible for the hotel 24/7, I manage and perform the daily operations, sales, and events within the hotel.

Hobbies/Interests
When I can get away I enjoy spending time at the lake with my family, and in the winter months we enjoy mini-trips to include downhill skiing and snowmobiling. This summer I enjoyed participating and learning a lot about South Bend through the Urban Adventure Race event that was held in July. I also recharged with a few weekend "get-a ways" to Cubs games and visits to St Joseph and Saugatuck, MI.

Advice to Other YPs
My advice to any young professional would be to "plug in" to your community! Once you start networking with engaging, active, energetic individuals that you meet at Chamber events, you find there are so many exciting activities and events that are very beneficial and fun to be involved in. As I have become more involved, I am learning about resources that I never knew this community had and "hidden treasure" local attractions that have been wonderful to explore.
