"My family has been manufacturing uniforms since 1924 and I am the fourth generation in that business. Today we sell uniform duty jackets to law enforcement officers, fire fighters and emergency medical personnel. I am involved in many aspects of the business, including coordinating our sales force, market research, product design, quality assurance, costing and performing large sales presentations to our distributor network."

Know About You
"About five years ago, I purchased a 120 year old house in downtown Mishawaka that was incredibly run down. I did a complete renovation from the ground up, performing about 90% of the work myself. Most people didn't know I was so handy."

Memorial BrainWorks is hosting a four day beginner’s Spanish class from 8:00 a.m. to noon June 21-24. This class is taught through brain based learning methods and TPRS which is a story-telling and physical response method. Participants will learn the most frequently spoken words in day-to-day Spanish plus cognates (which are those words in Spanish that are based on English), making it applicable instantly on a day to day basis for people across industries. Zoological Society Seeks Committee Members
The Potawatomi Zoological Society is seeking enthusiastic YPs to serve on the planning committee for two exciting fundraising events in 2010 - Zoo-To-Do on August 7 and Zoo Brew on September 11. Planning committee members will assist with the event themes, sponsor procurement, auction item procurement, ticket sales, event set-up and breakdown and other event details. Meetings are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on the third Wednesday of every month beginning in February, and continuing until the event dates. Meetings will last approximately

South Bend Mayor Steve Luecke will present his annual State of
the City address on Monday, February 15 at 6:00 p.m. at the
Century Center.
Bike the Bend
A recreational/non competitive
community bicycling event taking place Sunday, May 23. Both
casual and experienced riders can ride approximately 30 miles of
streets and trails through South Bend, Mishawaka and St. Joseph
County free of vehicular traffic. Visit the

Under 40
Once again YPN and The Chamber will present the Michiana Forty Under
40 event to recognize this region's best and brightest YPs. The event
will take place early this summer so keep an eye out for nomination
forms to recognize your peers!

the 2010 race promises to bring even more heart pounding action!
