Common Cents
As a follow-up to this section in the April newsletter, here are some additional suggestions to help save
you money:
-
Don’t go to the
grocery store hungry. You’re more likely to make impulse
purchases that aren’t always necessary.
-
Check out local
farmers’ markets for fresh produce, meats, plants/flowers and
other items. Not only can you save money, you’re also helping
the local economy.
-
Are you paying for
more TV than what you really watch? Consider downgrading your
service or cutting out cable altogether, even if just for the
summer. Free-up more time to spend outside while the weather is
nice!
Do you have a money-saving suggestion to share with other YPs? If
so, e-mail it to
Anneliese Woolford
and we’ll share it in an upcoming newsletter.
