How Have You Benefited From YPN?
“YPN has given me the opportunity to meet so many unique people and I've benefited by being able to build and develop new professional and personal relationships that make South Bend a more interesting place.”
Something Most People Don’t Know About
You
“I am planning on attending IUSB to get my master of public administration degree with a focus in health system administration and policy.”
Advice to YPs
“The biggest asset we have as individuals is our ability to help others. Whether it is a client or a friend, we always have the opportunity to lend a hand to those in need. South Bend offers many great avenues for assisting others and I would implore our YPs to designate some of their time to donate to the less fortunate. With the holiday season fast approaching, please keep in mind those who need our generosity the most.”

READING CORNER
A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity
By: Bill O'Reilly
In his most intimate book yet, O'Reilly goes back in time to examine the people and experiences that launched him from a working-class kid to immensely influential television personality and bestselling author. Readers will learn how his traditional outlook was formed in his family, his neighborhood, his church and his schools, and how his views on America's proper role in the world emerged from covering four wars on five continents over three decades.
Reviews have called this book an inspirational self-improvement read as much as it is a journey into O'Reilly's life. Some of his major points include:
-
The importance of self-reliance
-
The importance of standing your ground and standing up for what you believe in
-
The role and importance that faith can play in one's professional and public life
-
Understanding the nature of truly powerful people and that their actions and ideas can, and do, affect the lives of many
