Welcome to the home of Leadership South
Bend/Mishawaka, an initiative of The Chamber of Commerce of St.
Joseph County. Established in 1974, Leadership develops
21st century community leaders using the servant
leader model developed by Robert Greenleaf.
Each year,
approximately 40 adults who live and/or work in South Bend and
Mishawaka and 40 youths from the area high schools, receive
training in leadership skills and gain a new perspective on
their community through in-depth examination facilitated by top
community leaders from both the public and private sector. The
goal of Leadership is for the participants to recognize the
leader within and commit to a life of personal stewardship of
the community. Leadership History and Facts
